Medicare Is Quietly Dropping Plans This Year (Check Your Mail Now)

A single diagnostic code quietly typed into your medical chart can give an insurance company the legal power to LOCK you out of unrestricted healthcare for the rest of your life.

And between now and December 7, up to 5 million seniors are about to learn the hard way that their current plan is disappearing. For 2027, insurers are shutting down 732 Medicare Advantage plans and pulling out of entire counties to protect their profits. So check your mail for a non-renewal notice, but do not panic, because most plans are not being cancelled, and the smartest move is simply to verify.

Here is the trap almost nobody understands. Medicare Advantage can be a “one-way ratchet.” It is easy to get in while you are healthy, but hard to leave once you are sick. If you ever try to switch back to traditional Medicare and buy a Medigap plan, 46 states let insurers review your chart and reject you based on the very pre-existing conditions your plan logged. Only New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine protect you year-round.

If your plan is involuntarily cancelled, it can trigger a guaranteed-issue right, a rare window to buy Medigap with no health questions asked. For a sick senior, that is gold.

Before you decide anything, get free, commission-free help at shiphelp.org or 1-800-MEDICARE.

Did you get a plan letter this year?

SHE:- ‘Don’t you dare pull the towel…’
ME:-smirks ‘Challenge accepted.’

And just like that, one innocent bathroom moment turned into pure chaos, laughter, and the kind of chemistry that makes your heart race 🫠💦
Who else has a partner that turns every ‘no’ into their favourite game? Tag them before they start eyeing your towel 👀🔥”
