Honesty is the new black! . . . It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here other than my story. I really just needed a break this week, and it has been a long week. . I started another class this week and I’m pretty excited about it. I actually got an email telling me to start looking for places to do my practicums. It’s so crazy because what I wanted is close and I see the light. Finally, all this homework, late work nights on the weekend, 40 hour work week and 2 Hour drive to and from work is all added up to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. Let’s go lord!

Sometimes, the most ordinary sounds can hold the most extraordinary memories. ❤️ For years, a woman named Margaret McCollum would visit London's Embankment Underground station for a reason far more personal than catching a train. She simply wanted to hear her late husband's voice one more time. Her husband, Oswald Laurence, was a voice actor who had recorded the iconic “Mind the gap” announcement back in the 1970s. His voice became a familiar part of London's Underground, heard by countless commuters over the decades. After Oswald passed away in 2007, Margaret continued returning to the station, finding comfort in those three familiar words. It was a small but meaningful way of feeling close to the person she had lost. However, when the original announcement was eventually replaced with a newer recording, Margaret reached out to Transport for London, hoping to obtain a copy of her husband's voice. Upon hearing her touching story, Transport for London did something beautiful. They arranged for Oswald's original announcement to be restored at Embankment station and gave Margaret a recording she could keep forever. What had once been an everyday safety announcement became something much more meaningful: a reminder that even after someone is gone, a little part of them can remain with us in the most unexpected places.
