An illustration for the wonderful
@christopherjonhartman poem:
The Gypsy’s Jigsaw
I shook the hand of The Devil and left
For my grand journey between Life and Death.
No rest for my wandering, weary soul;
Perhaps I will sleep on my next journey.
I’ve attempted to put the pieces back
Like a jigsaw puzzle, only to find;
Only to find I’m missing some pieces;
Like a songbird without melody and wing.
The witchcraft at my fingertips is born
Not from hatred, but loving the wrong ones.
People who care more for their own pleasure
Than truly loving those that they call friends.
You’ve stolen my puzzle pieces and kept
It in your crooked soul of misfortune.
You’ve left me no choice but to pause until
It returns to me; makes me whole again.
