Here is what I know today. Healing is possible… and very messy. When I look back at the last two years, I feel a combination of shock, sadness, grief, and wait for it… hope. Hope has been the angel on my shoulder. Hope reminds me that I am not in control of an outcome, but I can work from a place of love and compassion and trust that peace is possible. This video is the exact moment I would visualize when I couldn’t see any light ahead. I would close my eyes and imagine this moment that is happening right in front of me, right now. If that isn’t a testimony to the power of our minds, I don’t know what is. The number of missteps I have made is too high to count, but with each step, I am remembering how to move. How to get up. How to trust myself. For months, I would wake up and my whole body would shake. My nervous system and mind had to find their way back. I would pray that I could endure just one more day and took everything down to the bare minimum. I cried so hard, so many times, that I didn’t think the tears would ever stop. I crawled up trails when my body refused to cooperate, and I challenged every thought that said… give up. Tear by tear, step by step, guided by the hands of strangers and loved ones, I have learned that even what is broken can be repaired with gold, and even the deepest wounds can be soothed by love. Learning how to love yourself after you have hurt people is one of the greatest challenges, and maybe the most worthy. Because giving yourself grace in the belly of war, whether with your mind or body, is one of the greatest acts of love you can offer the world. We need you. We need each other. And we need a world filled with stories of redemption. I hope I can offer you a little lifeline if you find yourself feeling like there is no way forward. My mom said to me on many occasions… “Stand up. Just…stand up my girl” Even if your legs are shaking and you don’t have a direction. Stand up. You have a story to tell and a life to live, and you may be surprised at the possibilities that lie ahead.
#STY #Persija #Jakmania #SuperLeague #PSIM
