🍂 Rules for Love 🍂 by Lexi Vale 📆 out today 📆 A cosy contemporary romance set in London, but not your usual city life story. Sophie sets to work to save a community garden 🌳 only to discover she already knows Lucas, who runs a local business and the community garden. Of course they now need rules so that Sophie can focus on saving the wonderful garden in the city. I loved Lexi’s first book, Walk This Way, and now Rules for Love is the perfect (interconnected standalone) autumnal romance. Found family 🤗 is one of my all time favourite tropes, and you’ll also find a healthy dose of he falls first (and harder). I love Lexi’s characterisation, as she always writes perfectly imperfect people. We are all flawed in some way, and at some point we have all made mistakes. I can definitely relate to a harsh exterior that has been built up only to be torn down for love 🧡 Look no further because I have found your perfect cosy autumn 🍂 romance, however I also recommend reading book 1️⃣ first. ➡️ hit SAVE 💾 to add to your tbr 📚 Thank you @lexivaleauthor and @netgalley for trusting me again to read your wonderful work 🤎 💬 do you love reading a 🍁seasonal🍁 book❓ | AD PR | | ARC, early reader, advanced reader, book reviews, book reports, book girlie, book besties, in-depth book reviews, reading and reviewing, bookstagram community, reading community, readers of ig, bookmail, books, fiction books, small content creator, book content, book content creator, posting and losing followers, the algorithm sucks, help my reviews find people who want to read them, like save share, copy link |
Singer and songwriter Melanie Fiona is enjoying a slower pace of life in Paris, and the experience has her questioning why people in North America are constantly in a rush. The Grammy-winning artist took to Threads to share how spending just a few days in the French capital has positively impacted her mental and emotional well-being. “I’ve been in Paris for a few days now, and my nervous system is already more regulated. People here walk slowly. They take their time drinking coffee or eating with friends. Nothing is HIGH DEMAND. It’s so lovely.” Fiona explained that the relaxed atmosphere made her recognize just how much stress has become normalized back home. “It reminded me how disregulated we are in North AMERICA, and how we exist in a constant pressure cooker of stress. We expect everything fast and in a hurry and deem it disrespectful if it’s not.” Her observations highlight the differences she has noticed between everyday life in Paris and the fast-paced culture often associated with North America. From rushing through meals to expecting immediate service, Fiona’s reflections raise questions about whether convenience and productivity have come at the expense of personal peace. Is North America’s fast-paced lifestyle putting unnecessary stress on us, or is Melanie Fiona simply experiencing the magic of being on vacation?
Not quite enough words to describe this unbelievable evening. Nor for the inspiring and uplifting work the @clooneyfoundation and all the honorees at The Albies have done and continue to do. An incredibly moving night. This world can be very dark and very dismal at times but to have the honour of seeing a glimpse of the mighty work the super hero’s in that room have done was powerfully inspiring. Thank you @charlottetilbury and @clooneyfoundation for having me. One of my good friends got married, so of course my daughter needed a cute outfit for her first ever Hasidic wedding. I only took her to the first part of the wedding because they tend to be quieter, and I knew the dancing would be way too loud. #JewishLife #OrthodoxJudaism #HasidicLife
