“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Corinthians 5:7
On August 8th, 2021 I was hit head-on and my car flipped off a two-way highway while I was on a road trip to visit a friend. By the grace of God, I was able to stay alive while being extracted from my car using the “jaws of life” and was airlifted to the nearest hospital. Prior to the accident I was about to enter my senior year of undergrad. As expected, my academic advisors recommended that I took the upcoming semester off to focus on my recovery. I insisted that even though I only had functional ability of one limb (my right arm), I still had the upmost confidence that I could continue to push towards my goals & successfully complete the upcoming Fall semester if they granted me the opportunity to take my courses in the hospital.
Fast forward to now, as of May 14th at 3:30 pm, I will have officially obtained my B.B.A degree in Supply Chain Management from Texas Tech University. Through the countless broken bones from head to toe as well as internal bleeding, I’m still here today at 100% health. I’ve been blessed with an incredible support system and simple words can’t express how grateful I am for every single one of the people who willed me to where I am today. I’m excited to see what the future has in store as I move forward on this journey.
