This tiny church is hiding a whole different world. 👀 Just 22 × 8 metres. Almost 300 years old. And one of the most extraordinary Baroque interiors you’ll find in Germany. Here are a few facts that make it even more special: ✨ Built between 1733 and 1746 by brothers Cosmas Damian and Egid Quirin Asam. 🏛️ Originally designed as their own private church, it was opened to the public after local residents demanded access. 💡 Hidden windows illuminate the figures above the altar, creating an almost otherworldly effect. 🎨 The interior is divided into three levels, symbolising the journey from earthly suffering towards heaven. 🤯 The brothers packed architecture, sculpture, frescoes, gold and intricate stucco into a space barely wider than a large living room. 📍 Asamkirche (St. Johann Nepomuk), Munich, Germany. My tip: Visit early in the morning for fewer people and beautiful natural light. And don’t forget to look up. The best details are easy to miss. #Asamkirche #MunichGermany #BaroqueArchitecture #HiddenGems #ArchitecturePhotography
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I’ve never been a fan of the Tesla. But I’ve never driven one, so was going purely on aesthetics and the fact that they are electric. But with their cyber truck and now the new flying car, I’m intrigued to know what all the noise is about. With Douglas currently awaiting a transplant, I figure it’s an ideal time to test drive other cars. Part II incoming. And this is not an AD. #tesla #tabba
Chick-fil-A isn’t opening on Sundays, and CEO Andrew Cathy says that isn’t up for debate. Speaking with TODAY’s Craig Melvin, Cathy explained that the long-standing policy guarantees employees one day off each week to rest or go to church. He also admitted he’s never run the numbers on how much money the chain gives up by staying closed, since changing it simply isn’t something the family-owned company is considering.
Sorry dad 🤭🤞
