“At the end of the day, I actually don’t think about Haley Stevens,” Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed said Sunday when asked whether the congresswoman had betrayed her party by endorsing Republican Mike Rogers. El-Sayed pushed back on questions about the political rift, asking reporters to concentrate on the challenges facing Michigan residents. “I’m not in the business of driving clicks for you. I’m in the business of trying to solve problems for the people in my state,” he said. He outlined priorities including affordable health care, stronger schools and relief from high household costs, while reaffirming his support for Medicare for All. “I want to get money out of politics. I want to put money back in pockets,” he said. Turning to foreign policy, El-Sayed took aim at “the Trump administration that has taken us to this war in Iran.” He argued that the conflict was increasing gas and grocery costs while drawing tax dollars away from communities at home. “We don’t want to watch our tax dollars get spent somewhere else on a war we shouldn’t be fighting. We want our tax dollars spent here on schools here,” he said.

We were struggling as an autism family... so I created something. 💙 When our daughter Aria was born, family life became a lot more complicated. As she got older, she struggled to understand her non-verbal autistic brother Mason and why he experienced the world differently. So I wrote a children's book to help her understand him. I shared it online, and what started as something for our own family ended up helping thousands of others. Over the past 6 months, I've been working behind the scenes to completely reillustrate and expand that little book. And today, I finally get to share it with you all! 🥹💙 My Brother Talks in Bubbles is officially back! If you have a child, grandchild or pupil who could benefit from understanding autism a little better, I'd love you to take a look #autism #autismparent #autismawareness #autismacceptance #autismsupport
