Casca from Berserk reveals one of the biggest problems with modern relationships: men and women have turned equality into a competition over who is stronger, more independent, and who needs the other less. Through Casca’s relationship with Guts, Kentaro Miura explores how the pressure to prove yourself can make femininity feel like weakness, when real strength comes from accepting who you are.

In a world increasingly divided by modern feminism, masculinity, gender roles, and dating expectations, Berserk reminds us that equality doesn’t mean becoming identical. Men and women don’t need to compete to prove their worth. Genuine love is built on mutual respect, vulnerability, and appreciating each other’s differences, not trying to defeat one another.
