Not her changing her whole identity depending on the form 😭

The original post is a riff on code-switching, the linguistic and cultural practice of adjusting how you present yourself across different contexts. The joke plays on how people (particularly those with multiple ethnic or religious identities) strategically shift their stated background depending on institutional or social incentives: emphasizing Latino heritage on college applications where diversity matters, downplaying it on dating apps, and emphasizing Jewish identity in legal contexts where it might carry weight. It’s a sharp observation about how people navigate competing systems that reward different identities at different times.
