📷: X/ DjordeMacak #informer
Science says the more delusional you are about your future, the more likely you are to create it. The most effective delusional optimists zoom out. They look beyond what’s true today and picture what could be true tomorrow. It’s called construal level theory: looking past your current circumstances makes your brain think bigger. Less “how could that happen?” More “that will absolutely be me.” We consistently underestimate how different our lives can become. So choose the destination before your current circumstances get to negotiate you down. Then do the work to make it happen. Be delusional about the destination. You’ll figure out the directions. But delusional optimism isn’t a decision you make once. The realistic voice speaks every morning, and whichever one you repeat more is the one your mind builds toward. There’s a one minute window right after you wake, before your eyes open, when your brain is still in theta and takes what it hears as instruction rather than opinion. Comment ALARM and I’ll send you what I use.
First Lady Melania Trump launched her 2027 Presidential Super Intelligence (SI) Challenge and established a new First Lady Seal of AI Readiness—inviting K-12 students, educators, and schools across America to participate in the nationwide initiative. “America’s next groundbreaking idea is already sitting in a classroom,” said Mrs. Trump. “We must give our children the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to bring those ideas to life.” Following the success of the inaugural Challenge earlier this year, which engaged more than 20,000 students from all 50 states and U.S. schools around the world, the 2027 Presidential SI Challenge will continue to give students the opportunity to use SI to dream, build, and develop solutions to real-world challenges. “America’s future security, prosperity, and global leadership depend on our next generation. Building on last year’s success, the 2027 Presidential Super Intelligence Challenge will empower our children to lead the world,” said First Lady Melania Trump. New this year, all participating schools will have the opportunity to earn the First Lady Seal of SI Readiness by completing and submitting evidence of a rigorous set of milestones focused on SI readiness. The Seal recognizes schools that are taking meaningful steps to prepare students and educators to understand, use, and responsibly engage with super intelligence. The Presidential SI Challenge will continue its project-based competition, encouraging students to explore super intelligence through creative and innovative projects that address challenges in their schools, communities, and beyond. President Tinubu Didn’t Choose The Nigeria He Inherited, But Chose To Confront Its Challenges For The Benefit Of Future Generations — Seyi Tinubu Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has acknowledged the hardship Nigerians have faced following the removal of fuel subsidy, foreign exchange reforms and changes to the tax system, while defending the policies as necessary for the country’s future. He made the remarks on Monday, October 12, at the maiden edition of the Seyi Tinubu Colloquium, themed “Shaping the Future Together,” held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. Speaking at the event, Seyi said President Tinubu inherited existing national challenges but chose to confront them for the benefit of younger Nigerians and future generations. “President Bola Tinubu didn’t choose the Nigeria he inherited from his predecessors, yet his administration chose to confront the challenges of our nation. Not for itself alone, but for the benefit of those who come next. For us, the young generation,” he said. He acknowledged that the reforms had placed pressure on families, adding that the immediate pain was more noticeable than the long-term benefits. “Changes have not been easy. Families whose budgets have been stretched. The pain was immediate. The lasting improvement more difficult to feel and touch. Yet, they are no less real,” he said. Seyi argued that investments in roads, power, mining, manufacturing and agriculture, alongside improved access to education and credit, could create opportunities for younger Nigerians and generations to come. He said he supported his father’s policies because young people needed an economy where hard work could translate into rewards and businesses could thrive.
