Exes have a strange way of reappearing in your life when you least expect them, especially late at night when emotions start taking over. After a breakup, people often go through periods of missing their former partner, remembering the good moments, and questioning whether ending the relationship was the right decision. Even when someone has moved on, certain memories, songs, or experiences can bring back feelings they thought were completely gone.

One of the most common situations is receiving an unexpected message from an ex who suddenly wants to reconnect. Sometimes it’s genuine regret, while other times it’s loneliness, nostalgia, or simply missing the comfort of having someone familiar around. Alcohol can also lower inhibitions, making people more likely to express feelings they would normally keep to themselves. However, missing someone doesn’t necessarily mean the relationship deserves another chance. Sometimes people only remember what they lost after realizing the grass wasn’t greener on the other side. 😭💔
