The Qi

Zia Ul Karim

One of the pioneers of The Qi, a name that needs no introduction especially if you have ever been a part of the circle. Certainly a name that lives through every instrument played in The Qi. A soul, a Qi that keeps the circle alive & connected.

Just last week he left a void in all of our hearts. We lost an asset at a time where he had just started & had so much to give back. A gifted musician left us too soon & passed away in an accident in Altit, Pakistan. But hes of those who continue to live on because of the legacy that they leave behind

From reviving Xhigini to mentoring, guiding & inspiring young musicians in Hunza (& throughout) dedicating his life to it, he truly did justice to what its called to keeping the music alive. Or to say it in @zulfiqarjkhan ‘s words “one of the honest propagators of music in our country”

The loss is undeniably irreparable but we hope & promise to keep your legacy alive,
through your name,
in your name, Zia Bhai.🤍

Happy jammings in the heavens.
