Built a worm farm today with mom! This is a simple & effective way to cultivate nutrient rich soil for starting a garden. After a few months, she can plant right into this bed. No till. No turning. Just rich, living soil.

The soil here is all sand, so all the gardening mom does involves buying potting soil & fertilizing. I’ve been chomping at the bit to show her what permaculture can do to build soil! I love sharing the knowledge & she’s excited to learn 🙂

ICYMI - we stacked two layers of five (leaves, manure, compost, coffee grounds, worms) and gave it a good soak at the end (not pictured) to keep the worms happy.
