Another final, another wildcard opportunity that was so close. This one hurts a little❤️

First, I really want to thank @hotelplannertennistour for what they’re doing for players. $4,000 for the finalist and $8,000 for the winner that can go toward flights, hotels, and other travel expenses. If you’re playing professional tennis, you know how much that helps. These opportunities really mean so much.

A month and a half ago, I was playing for a wildcard into a WTA 500 when I fell and injured my ankle. Three weeks in a boot, very little training since, and somehow here I was again, in another final, fighting for another opportunity.

5 matches in 3 days in this Florida heat, including a tough three-setter yesterday morning before the final. And I knew I wasn’t physically ready for that much tennis. But I wanted to give myself a chance anyway.

Of course I’m disappointed. I wanted this one badly. But I’m also proud of what I managed to do with the little preparation I’ve had.And honestly, I’m just so grateful to finally be healthy again. Now it’s time to get some consistent training in, get my body back where it needs to be, and really push. Because I know I have so much more in me.

Huge congratulations to @adri_reami , who played an amazing match yesterday! So well deserved, and wishing you the best of luck at the WTA 125 tournament in Mexico! ❤️

And having my boys there watching me compete made this weekend even more special. Of course I wanted them to see me win, but I hope they’re also learning something from watching me lose. That you can give something everything you have, fall short, and still get up and try again.

I have no idea where this comeback will take me. I’m still figuring so much of it out as I go, trying to balance being a mom, traveling, competing, and everything else that comes with it.But I know I’m not done trying. And as long as I keep giving it everything I have, I won’t have regrets.

Thank you to everyone who messaged me, and continues to support this journey.

Back to work. ❤️🎾

Did life actually go back to normal after 2020… or did we just learn to function in a different version of it?

Everything is open again. We’re working, traveling, eating out, going to events. But so many people seem more tired, more stressed, more isolated and constantly in a rush.

Maybe it’s the cost of living. Maybe it’s technology. Maybe it’s what those years did to our sense of time, community and connection. Maybe it’s all of it.

I hear some version of this constantly: life just feels different now.

Do you feel it too? And if you do, what do you think actually changed?

Brb having a staring contest

Having a “perfect” day every single day just isn’t realistic. Sometimes we forget we’re human. Humans who make mistakes. Humans who have lows, setbacks, and hard seasons. Every day ain’t gone be sunshine and that’s okay.

The more I study the character of Jesus, the more I realize I will never be perfect. Not even close. But through Him, I can have better days. I can rise again. I can experience joy, growth, and strength beyond my own. I need Him.

And here’s another thought… I truly believe a lot of us delay our dreams because of perfectionism. We want everything aligned just right before we move. But that mindset quietly says we’re still trying to be in control. The truth? The only way we step into everything God has revealed to us is by recognizing we cannot do it on our own. We need Him.

So this is your reminder to be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. Keep going, even on the imperfect days. Better days are coming 🤍
