Sleeper Alert! 130hp, 700 kilos, 7000rpm+, short-ratio gearbox, proper Motorsport suspension, improved brakes and a fully improvised restomod. And works with factory AC and all creature comforts. Now thats a perfect Zen. And the perfect pocket rocket. The party trick here is the unassuming stock looks. And firepower under the hood. Canada will become the 51st state of the U.S — President Trump declares U.S. President Donald Trump has said Canada will “end up being the 51st state,” renewing complaints about trade tariffs and accusing the neighbouring country of treating the United States unfairly. Speaking at a campaign rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Wednesday, October 14, Trump said, “Canada treats us very badly. They always have. Not anymore. It’s a whole different ball game now that Trump is in town.” He criticised Canadian tariffs on milk and other goods, as well as companies moving their factories to the U.S. “They’ll end up being the 51st state, because that’s the only way it works,” Trump said. “We don’t need them, but they need us.” He also questioned why the U.S. should lose billions of dollars supporting Canada, adding that the country’s territory “just adds to our beautiful plate,” in an apparent reference to his remarks about Greenland. The comments came amid renewed trade tensions. U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra had suggested that remarks by Canadian politicians about retaliatory tariffs could be interpreted as “election interference” ahead of the U.S. midterm elections in November. Canada has repeatedly rejected the idea of becoming part of the United States. In September, British Columbia Premier David Eby announced plans for border signs declaring the province “never the 51st state.” Ontario Premier Doug Ford also rejected Trump’s earlier remarks, insisting that Canada’s sovereignty was not for sale. “I can tell President Trump that will never, ever happen,” Ford said.
A mixed handful for #watchpalmsunday this week. With 2 returning heroes, and some pieces not seen since the summer holiday. The Seiko Pogue and Rolex 1655 are back! 2 iconic watches from different ends of the collecting spectrum… both wonderful to have back on the wrist. The Rolex pair of beige OP and Neo 14060 sub were a mainstay of this year’s summer holiday, and as autumn takes hold, these bring back some much needed warm feeling 🤩 Throw in 3 chronos from 3 eras, the pre moon speedy, the retro Schumacher and a carbon from Tudor, and that’s a mix to see me through for a few weeks at least 😁 Happy Sunday all. Time to get up to stuff… ———————————————-
