I’ve returned to Gilead again and again over the years because of the way Marilynne Robinson finds meaning in the seemingly ordinary moments of our lives. For A Great Book, my friend @TomHanks joined me to revisit the novel and talk about faith, fatherhood, mortality, and what it means to slow down and appreciate the time we have with the people we love. I hope you’ll listen to our full conversation on A Great Book with Barack Obama, a new podcast from @Audible and @HigherGroundMedia.
