@thejasminebrand : Shamari DeVoe is celebrating another major accomplishment after officially passing her NCLEX exam and becoming a registered nurse. The Blaque singer and former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that she received the email confirming her achievement. “The prayers, tears, sleepless nights, and sacrifices were all worth it. This journey wasn’t easy, but GOD carried me through!” she wrote. DeVoe began nursing school on September 6, 2023, pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing after building a successful entertainment career. Throughout her journey, she completed nursing clinicals, worked as a hospital nurse extern, and documented her progress online. In August 2026, DeVoe graduated with her master’s degree, celebrating a 3.57 GPA, recognition in the HESI RN Exam 1000 Club, and membership in the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. The wife of New Edition’s Ronnie DeVoe previously explained that healthcare had always been another lifelong dream. Now, after nearly three years of hard work, the mother of twins has officially achieved that goal. “I worked hard for these letters, and I can finally say MSN, RN!” she celebrated. “I’M OFFICIALLY A REGISTERED NURSE!” Congratulations @shamaridevoe
Singer and songwriter Melanie Fiona is enjoying a slower pace of life in Paris, and the experience has her questioning why people in North America are constantly in a rush. The Grammy-winning artist took to Threads to share how spending just a few days in the French capital has positively impacted her mental and emotional well-being. “I’ve been in Paris for a few days now, and my nervous system is already more regulated. People here walk slowly. They take their time drinking coffee or eating with friends. Nothing is HIGH DEMAND. It’s so lovely.” Fiona explained that the relaxed atmosphere made her recognize just how much stress has become normalized back home. “It reminded me how disregulated we are in North AMERICA, and how we exist in a constant pressure cooker of stress. We expect everything fast and in a hurry and deem it disrespectful if it’s not.” Her observations highlight the differences she has noticed between everyday life in Paris and the fast-paced culture often associated with North America. From rushing through meals to expecting immediate service, Fiona’s reflections raise questions about whether convenience and productivity have come at the expense of personal peace. Is North America’s fast-paced lifestyle putting unnecessary stress on us, or is Melanie Fiona simply experiencing the magic of being on vacation?
