The next generation of the Ambani family took centre stage as Reliance Jio marked a historic milestone in Mumbai on Thursday, October 15, ahead of what is set to become India’s biggest-ever initial public offering (IPO).

Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani were part of the next-generation leadership entrusted with taking Jio Platforms public, marking a significant chapter in the business empire founded by their grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani. Akash and Isha also addressed the IPO announcement event, outlining Jio’s journey and future ambitions.

The upcoming IPO is expected to raise as much as ₹30,213 crore, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s ₹27,870 crore offering in 2024. Jio has fixed its price band at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share, valuing the company at approximately ₹10.3 lakh crore at the upper end. Public subscription will open on October 21 and close on October 23.

During the event, Isha Ambani shared an interesting story about how Jio’s journey began. She recalled struggling to submit a college assignment because of poor internet connectivity in Mumbai around 2009-10. The experience sparked conversations with her brother Akash about why India lacked the digital connectivity available in Western countries.

Akash, who serves as Jio Platforms’ Managing Director, highlighted the company’s technology capabilities, 5G infrastructure and ambitions to capture opportunities in India’s growing digital economy.

Veteran banker Uday Kotak described the upcoming IPO as a testament to the next generation of Reliance’s leadership, particularly Akash and Isha, while acknowledging Mukesh Ambani’s guidance.

The occasion also carries historical significance. Nearly five decades after Dhirubhai Ambani took Reliance Industries public in 1977, his grandchildren are helping lead another landmark moment for the conglomerate.

With over 53 crore subscribers and a record-breaking public offering approaching, Jio’s IPO represents both a major financial milestone and a generational transition in one of India’s most influential business families.

What a beautiful promise. 🤍 There are moments when we don’t have the words, don’t know what to pray, and feel like we’re carrying more than we can hold. But Jesus is not distant from us. He invites us to come close, to bring every burden, and to find rest in Him.

Let the moment have its moment.

There’s something about an HBCU homecoming that you just can’t recreate anywhere else. The old roommates linking back up, the sorors and fraters standing ten toes in their letters, the alumni pulling up like they never left, and generations of Spartans all coming together in one place. The music, the fashion, the food, the handshakes, the line dances … it’s bigger than a tailgate.

It’s culture, it’s tradition, it’s home.

And NSU? We know how to make it feel like one big family reunion. Everybody got a story, everybody got somebody to see, and somewhere in between all the noise and nostalgia, you’re reminded why this culture means so much to us.

This just my piece of the moment. A visual love letter to the people, the culture, and the memories that keep bringing us back.

Until next year, BIG STATE. 🤝🏾💚💛
