The impact is undeniable. Thankful for the past, believing for the future. The best is yet to come!

I found something that stops my racing mind (or at least slows it down) 99% of the time… Why is it so hard for us multitasking ladies to put down the mental load? To still the scrolling checklist in our minds? To physically sit and be still? I few years ago I found the thing for me that quiets the noise and helps me pause and take a deep break- playing paperdolls… kind of like we did as children, but this time it’s virtual and using fashion items from some of my favorite retailers! For you, maybe it’s running or a hot bath?!?! How about you put whatever it is on your calendar and treat it like a doc appointment you can’t miss. You deserve the break, friend!

Comment YES PLEASE becuase my paperdolls just happen to be shopable… copy & paste a new go to look or just save for easy reference later when you need a little outfit inspo!

أحد الإخوة الخليجيين يوضّح موقفه من السنابات التي نشرها والأحاديث التي أثارها خلال الأيام الماضية..

Bombay is starting to feel like a home lately 🧿✨

The noodles were different, but this time her reaction was too.

Hannah ordered ramen at a new restaurant, expecting the curly noodles she’s familiar with. When it came out they were straight noodles that looked like spaghetti.

Not long ago that difference would have been enough for her not to eat it, but this time she acknowledged that it looked different, pointed out the differences, and worked through her discomfort to try it.

I can’t tell you how many times she’s ordered something familiar with every intention of eating it, only for an unexpected difference to make it feel wrong. A different noodle shape or a different color broth might seem insignificant to someone else, but for her it would mean going without the meal entirely.

This is why “I’m sure you can find something she can eat on the menu” isn’t always that simple with ARFID. Finding something familiar on the menu doesn’t mean it will arrive looking or feeling familiar to her.

It’s also why “she’ll eat when she’s hungry” is so frustrating to hear. We’ve watched her skip countless meals even when she was hungry because the food in front of her didn’t feel safe.

This time she noticed the differences, talked through what felt uncomfortable, and still gave it a try. Not every meal will look like this, but moments like these show how far she’s come and that’s what matters.
