Burger Restaurant: Grillen Burger
Burger: Juicy Dew combo (+ guacamole)
Price: 131 kr
1. Presentation: The presentation of this burger was quite good. From the looks of the burger seemed to have a lot of sauce/guacamole which was a bit overwhelming. The bacon looked like it was cooked perfectly and still pretty juicy.
2. Taste: This Juicy Dew burger tasted just as good as it looked. Both the bacon and the meat patty were cooked perfectly and the bacon was definitely greasy which was very tasty. The amount of sauces/guacamole, did not only look overwhelming, it also tasted quite overwhelming. I usually enjoy quite a bit of sauce on my burgers, however I thought this was borderline too much. The addition of the peppadews was quite unique, however I was not a big fan of them as they were a bit too sweet for me.
3. Fries Quality: The fries were okay, however they were room temperature which was not very nice in my opinion. Despite not being very warm, they still had the right texture to them.
4. Sauces/Dips: The Grillen mayo was pretty nice. I think it still had a slight vinegary taste, which I enjoyed as I mentioned last time I was there.
Overall, this burger was okay. I think the ingredients themselves work good together, however I think the proportions at which they were mixed in this burger was not great. This burger had quite a lot of sauce on it which masked the flavours of the meats, breads, and peppadews. I thought that overall the peppadews were fine, however I think they could be a bit less sweet and maybe not have as much in the burger. This time I was here I was quite disappointed in the fries, they cam out from the kitchen already a room temp, which made me think they were not very fresh. Despite the fries not being the best on their own, they still worked pretty good with the Grillen’s mayo. Besides the quality of the food, I think the service from the staff at Grillen was very nice and quick and I am looking forward to coming back and trying more burgers.
