Dua pria di Desa Sei Mencirim, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara, mendapat hukuman tak lazim setelah tertangkap basah mencuri pepaya milik warga. Video X/neveral0nely___ #KarawangConnect
We’ve been coming to this Korean restaurant since before we had kids. It’s cozy and familiar, and the owner has always been so kind to our family. Our kids feel comfortable here, and that makes a difference. Hannah has been wanting to try the Oreo shaved ice because she likes Oreos. She was excited to order it and really hoped she would like it. That’s a part of ARFID people don’t always see. You can look forward to a food, choose it yourself, and want to enjoy it, and still struggle to eat it. Wanting to doesn’t automatically make it possible. These moments are disappointing for her too. Even with the owner nearby, she didn’t feel like she would disappoint him if she didn’t like it. He knows about her challenges with eating and has always been supportive. She could be honest about her experience without worrying about his reaction. He noticed she liked the Oreos and brought her a whole bowl of them. Such a simple gesture, but it meant so much. There was no pressure to keep trying the shaved ice or finish what she ordered. Just kindness and something she could enjoy. It’s hard enough to try something new without worrying about letting someone down. She might take another bite to make someone happy, even when she’s struggling. If she feels like she can’t say “I can’t eat this,” next time she may be afraid to try at all which can lead to even more restriction. We’re so thankful for all of the people in our lives who are so supportive and kind. @michelledorit
