Romanticising the little things 😀
Feel like this ✌🏼 with insertion? We need MORE than just a STRONG 🍋 squeeze!! Ladies, we need to train the ENTIRE system. If your pelvic floor muscles are slackened and uncoordinated or even hypertonic, mastering how they work with your breath is FOUNDATIONAL to rebuilding strength and optimal function. Your pelvic floor, diaphragm and abs need to coordinate WELL so you can manage intra-abdominal PRESSURE properly as you move. This is one of the HOLY GRAIL exercises for practicing that connection and coordination ⬇️ ✅ On the INHALE, my diaphragm descends and my 360° breath travels down toward my pelvis. My rib cage expands, my abdominal wall responds, and my pelvic floor lengthens. ✅ On the EXHALE, my adductors and pelvic floor muscles contract while my lower, middle, and upper transverse abs contract in that order. My diaphragm then returns to its resting position or a bit higher with a forced exhale. THIS is what every woman NEEDS to master! 🥹 ⚠️ And if those muscles are holding tension, releasing that tension may need to come BEFORE adding more contractions. Comment APP and I’ll message you a full week of my core + pelvic floor and rib cage correcting exercises and tutorials! #workoutsforwomen #pelvicfloorexercises #coreexercises #postpartumfitness
