The Heng Blade from Where Winds Meet was definitely one of my favorite projects this year! 😁 I just love all the intricate details on the original reference and creating the blade as well as the sheath was super fun! I’ve used here a PVC pipe and a steel rod for the base, covered it with high density EVA foam, added an LED strip, a microchip and translucent LED foam and finished the build with tons of laser cut details. If you are curious, you can check out the full length crafting video on my Youtube channel! @where_winds_meet #cosplay #wherewindsmeet

Cactus Compute's new Whistle model turns speech into text in a single 16.9 MB file that runs on your device's CPU 🎙️ Released 2 Oct with open weights (Apache-2.0). 7 languages (EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, NL, PL), word-level timestamps, and audio never leaves the device. Cactus says it roughly matches OpenAI's Whisper base at ~1/9 the size (16.9 MB vs 145.3 MB) and hits the first token in ~11 ms vs 73 ms on an Apple M4 Pro CPU. These are the company's own benchmarks. Paired with Cactus's Needle model, a voice clip goes straight to tool calls for agents. Comment "MUNCH" and we'll DM you the link 👇 #AI #SpeechToText #OpenSource #OnDeviceAI #itmunch
Jamie Lever revealed that she initially did not want to use her father Johnny Lever’s surname professionally because it came with immense expectations and responsibility. She wanted audiences to recognise her for her own talent and said it took around 10–12 years to establish an identity beyond being Johnny Lever’s daughter.
