Lewis Hamilton on pole position in Mexico ! ———- Lewis Hamilton secured a spectacular pole position for the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix, ending a three-year qualifying drought and claiming his first ever grand prix pole as a Scuderia Ferrari driver. In a nail-biting Q3 shootout, Hamilton edged out his former Mercedes teammate George Russell by a minuscule 0.009 seconds to reset his historic record to 105 career poles. Charles Leclerc locked down third place to complete a stellar day for Ferrari, while championship leader Kimi Antonelli qualified fifth but will start fourth on Sunday. This adjustment comes at the expense of Max Verstappen, who qualified fourth but carries a one-place grid penalty into the race following a practice altercation with Liam Lawson. Further back, McLaren suffered mixed fortunes as a lock-up restricted Lando Norris to sixth, while Oscar Piastri endured a shock Q2 elimination and was relegated to 13th on the grid. #formula1 #f1memes #lewishamilton #mexicogp (F1, formula1, f1memes, Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, MexicoGP, Norris, Alonso, Antonelli, Russell, Piastri, Leclerc, Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren)
