PAPLEY VS LIZ ROUND 1 PLS 🍿

| Pendry Tampa - Riverwalk Tampa |

The topping-out story is typically where we conclude our coverage of a high-rise development. We follow these projects from the earliest rumors and initial permit filings to groundbreaking and, eventually, watching them rise into the skyline. Pendry, however, feels a little different. It’s a project we’ve followed closely through the highs, the setbacks, and some major news breaks along the way. In many ways, it feels like we’ve been part of its journey. And while there’s still more to this story, today marks a milestone worth celebrating for what has become one of Tampa’s most recognizable additions to the skyline.

• After years of anticipation, renderings, and watching this tower climb above the Riverwalk, Pendry Tampa & Pendry Residences Tampa is celebrating its topping-out milestone, with the ceremony that was scheduled for Friday, October 9. For those of us who have followed this project from the beginning, we’ve waited a long time for this day. Rising 38 stories and approximately 409 feet along the Hillsborough River at South Ashley Drive and West Whiting Street, Pendry has become a striking addition to our downtown skyline.

• Topping out marks the tower reaching its full structural height, bringing this long-awaited waterfront destination another step closer to opening. Developed by Two Roads Development in partnership with Pendry Hotels & Resorts, the tower features architecture by Arquitectonica, interiors by Studio Munge, and construction by Coastal Construction. The excitement has translated into sales, too: approximately 75% of the residences were reported sold in September, representing more than $385 million in sales.

• Expected to debut in 2027, the development will introduce 220 hotel rooms and approximately 200 private residences, alongside three signature food and beverage offerings, a spa and fitness center, a rooftop pool, and Riverwalk-facing restaurants and retail. For Tampa, that means more places to gather, dine, stay, and experience one of the best parts of our city. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone and even more excited for what comes next.
