Nathan Fielder willfully disregards conventional social norms in his projects, and, in “The Rehearsal” and “Nathan For You,” this insistent, creepy overfamiliarity is inherently comical. But in “You Can See Everything,” which centers on the disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, Fielder’s “penchant for invading his interlocutors’ personal space is more pronounced than ever before,” Naomi Fry writes. What makes this project distinct from Fielder’s previous work is that it is not a comedy; rather, it’s an exploration of the limits of other people’s knowability. At the link in our bio, Fry discusses the film and Fielder’s interviewing style. Illustration by Javier Jaén (@javier_jaen); Source photographs from A24 / Everett.

Hungama (2003) is a cult Hindi comedy directed by Priyadarshan, but one of its biggest highlights is Paresh Rawal as Radheyshyam Tiwari, a character who deserves a separate fanbase. A wealthy businessman with a short temper, hilarious reactions and a suspicious mind, Tiwari gets caught in a web of misunderstandings, mistaken identities and chaotic relationships. Alongside Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen and Shoma Anand, Paresh Rawal turns everyday confusion into unforgettable Bollywood comedy with his expressions, dialogue delivery and impeccable comic timing. Hungama becomes truly iconic whenever Radheyshyam Tiwari loses his patience and starts questioning everyone around him. Paresh Rawal’s deadpan sarcasm, dramatic outbursts, possessive husband energy and effortlessly funny reactions make Tiwari one of the most memorable characters in Priyadarshan’s comedy universe. His scenes prove that a great comic performance doesn’t need exaggerated jokes when the expressions and timing are already legendary. Even today, Radheyshyam Tiwari remains a fan-favourite character for lovers of classic Bollywood comedy, chaotic misunderstandings and timeless meme-worthy humour.
