Tongues Like Swords •
“You may have heard the term, “you reap what you sow…” this is true! If you plant bean seeds, you’ll get a bean crop, watermelon seeds…then watermelons form on the vine. Same is true for your mouth.👄
If you sow grace and peace, you will experience and start to cultivate more life-giving thoughts.🌱Or if you sow discord and slander, it will attract the same toxic results of judgement, gossip, any dishonoring speech you allow to come out of your own mouth. Out of the heart the mouth speaks. So what are we believing to be true? 🌾
Are we putting up walls and defenses because of past hurts? What stories are we making up in our own heads about ourselves?🚧
Proverbs 18:21 says, “the tongue has the power of life and death.” How do we start being more life-giving and proactive in our thought life? By being grateful. The truths of blessings and gratefulness ground us in peace.”🕊️
