Which character from the Jigsaw squad would you like to see return in the next untitled Saw film? 🪚

For years, the next Saw installment after the successful Saw X has been up in the air

Saw XI was announced on December 11th, 2023, less than 3 months after Saw X hit theaters. It was supposed to release September 27th, 2024, but after months without news, it was delayed to September 26th, 2025 in April 2024

More quiet months followed, alongside rumors of disagreements between Twisted Pictures producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules over the franchise’s direction. Then, in March 2025, Saw XI was quietly removed from Lionsgate’s schedule, leaving the future even more uncertain

Then, in a move nobody saw coming, Blumhouse announced on June 18th, 2025, that it had acquired a 50% stake in the Saw franchise from Burg and Koules, while Lionsgate kept its 50%. Blumhouse is known for films and franchises like Insidious, Get Out, The Purge, Paranormal Activity, David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy, and FNAF

The deal also brought back original creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell! Wan later said he wants to give the franchise a fresh start and that you can’t make a Saw movie without Jigsaw

In January 2026, Gregory Weidman and Geoff Tock were quietly reported to be writing the film. And as of Most recently, in September 2026, the project got a director: Mike P. Nelson, who directed the 2021 Wrong Turn reboot and Silent Night, Deadly Night

James Wan, Leigh Whannell, and Jason Blum are attached as producers, marking a huge shift in the creative team

After years of delays and uncertainty, the next Saw is finally moving forward again, but likely with a different story than the original Saw XI plan. The project is still untitled, with no release date just yet

But after everything, I’m so glad we’re finally getting more Saw on the big screen soon!

The exercise focused on small-unit leaders’ ability to employ their squads and make tactical decisions during simulated combat.

That’s our Fair Play Award winner! 👏 Congratulations @ilia_quadg0d_malinin, we’re so proud!

“I was looking back at the [Olympic men’s free skate] performance, and it was probably one of the hardest moments of my life. But I also had to move on from it... I had to appreciate what my fellow competitor and friend had done.”

- @ilia_quadg0d_malinin

“You know, he won his very first Olympics. And it just made me so happy... I wanted to be a good friend to support him. That’s what was going through my mind, not what happened out there; it was how can I bring back the positive and show love to the world and to him.”

- @ilia_quadg0d_malinin

“This award is so special to me because it shows how connected we are as athletes, no matter the situation. I am so honored and thankful to everyone who recognized me, and so grateful for all of the people who have helped me become the person receiving it.”
