@threespiritdrinks drinks have come up with three non alcoholic elixirs, designed to “enhance your mood, rhythm and mind throughout the day and into the night”.
“Livener” is labelled as the perfect party pick me up with plant based ingredients such as guayusa, guava leaf and schisandra paired with berries and other aromatics designed to give you a euphoric pick me up.
I made two “Livener” cocktails with recipes from the Three Spirit team. The first was the “Plant Soda” which took 50ml of Livener spirit served with soda. A delicious cocktail which allowed the fruity and fiery flavours of the spirit shine. The other was a “Fierce Spritz” which combines Livener spirit with fresh grapefruit juice and lemonade. A delicious fruity mocktail. I will definitely be trying both of these cocktails again.
“Social Elixer” is a herbal elixir and called the ultimate social companion and mood elevator. It uses lion’s mane mushroom, yerba mate and damiana which are said to create a natural blissful feeling.
The first cocktail I tried with this spirit was a “Herbal Stimulant” which combined “Social Elixir” with a shot of coffee and some maple syrup. This one was just a little too sweet for me. The other cocktail I tried was a “Light and Stormy” which combines “Social Elixir” with ginger beer.
“Nightcap” is made with tree saps, aromatic plants and ancient remedies that are said to help you relax and unwind. With a combination of woody and spicy notes, it invokes a calm, dreamy feeling.
I enjoyed “Nightcap” on the rocks which was the perfect way to enjoy the delicious citrus and spicy flavours in this spirit. I then tried a “Nightcap old fashioned” which took the spirit and then combined it with some dashes of Angostura bitters.
These really are three very unique alcohol free options that still also provide a mood changing effect. All three are great in their own ways, however I must admit my preference was for the fruity peppery “Livener” and the citrusy and spicy “Nightcap”
