Don’t let chasing a time make you forget why you fell in love with running in the first place 🥹 Didn’t hit your goal? Didnt PR your race? Didn’t have the race you envisioned? THAT’S OKAY & COMPLETELY NORMAL. 😌 One race doesn’t determine your fitness. It determines what you were capable of doing ON THAT DAY UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES‼️ This is something I learned after my not so ideal race experience in 2024. I didn’t run for months, said I hated running for a while & didn’t race for a YEAR. 🤯 Fast forward to London 2026. 😅 I was sick AF, had 5 cold sores & could barely swallow. The race was SO hot with no shade (65-70°) & the hardest marathon I’ve ever ran. 🥵 I didn’t PR, I kinda hated every second of every mile; BUT I learned from the past. I chose to be SO happy with my effort & remind myself how THANKFUL I am to be able to do this! 🥺 Never lose your love for the game or remember why you started in the first place! 🥹 #motivation #running #inspiration #runningmotivation #chicagomarathon
