@newmansa94 still wonders why he didn’t get a title after his six fight win streak, and knocking out three ranked opponents in 2024 “I feel like I could have had an opportunity a long time ago to fight for that title... I was fighting. I was winning. I was knocking people out. I would really like to know why I didn’t get the shot over JDM.” [ #UFCEdmonton | SAT Oct 17 on @paramountplus ]

Had a great time sitting down with Bill Maher on Real Time to talk about One Helluva Ride. He couldn’t put the book down once he started though I’m still cracking up over his version of the opening line! Check out the book and grab your copy by clicking the link in my bio!
Happy Place has offered me so much over the last 9 years. Not only the chance to sit and chat with some seriously fascinating people and hear life changing story telling, but it’s also given me the chance to build a business. I didn’t see it in my future and when I was mentally in a black hole I could never have imagined a pivot like this. Building @happyplaceofficial from the ground up has been a privilege. I’m learning on the job, getting an understanding of what you lot want, need and don’t like, and am constantly buzzing with ideas as to where we can take it next. I want the podcast to keep getting better, the @happyplacebookclub to grow, and our @happyplacefestival to become even more of a special space. This week I got to travel to the south of France to take part in a talk about Happy Place and how it’s constantly changing and expanding. A total treat. #happyplace
Guess who’s back ALRIGHT! James Monroe Iglehart is Lance starting November 3. Who missed James?! ⬇️
A new study led by researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has found that older adults who nap frequently may face a significantly higher risk of developing dementia. By tracking nearly 1,000 Medicare beneficiaries aged 65 and older over a 10-year period, the study revealed that individuals who napped on most days or every day had a 48% higher risk of a dementia diagnosis compared to those who rarely or never napped. This increased risk remained present even after accounting for factors like age, existing health conditions, and overall nighttime sleep duration. The researchers also noted that unintentional napping—such as nodding off unexpectedly—was tied to a 39% higher risk, while short naps lasting 30 minutes or less were associated with a 40% higher risk. Crucially, the authors emphasize that these findings do not prove a direct cause-and-effect relationship, meaning that taking a nap does not inherently cause brain damage or cognitive decline. Instead, frequent or worsening daytime sleepiness is considered an early warning sign or biomarker. The underlying neurodegenerative changes associated with early-stage dementia can damage the brain regions responsible for regulating wakefulness, leading to increased fatigue and daytime dozing long before memory loss or other clinical symptoms officially manifest.
