In the 2017 Power Rangers movie, the Blue Ranger, Billy Cranston, is autistic. He isnโ€™t the sidekick or the punchline. Heโ€™s one of the five teenagers the whole story is about, and heโ€™s a Ranger like the rest of them. RJ Cyler, who played Billy, isnโ€™t autistic himself. He based parts of the role on Andre, a schoolmate on the spectrum he called โ€œliterally a genius.โ€ โ€œI knew that it was my job to show, you know, that people that are on the spectrum are just regular people,โ€ Cyler said. Did you know the Blue Ranger was autistic? ๐Ÿ’ฌ ๐Ÿ“ฐ: ABC News, Inverse #Autism #Representation #PowerRangers #AutismAcceptance

Itโ€™s been a week since you earned your heavenly wings, and NOTHING prepares you for losing a parent. If you know me, you know my mommy IS my heartbeat. What many donโ€™t know is that I almost didnโ€™t compete this year because of her illness. Stupid ass cancer. But my mom wasnโ€™t having THAT! She refused to let me put my dreams on hold. For the past 3 years, her smile every time I stepped on stage or brought home an award gave me strength I didnโ€™t know I had. Truthfully, I felt selfish chasing my dreams while she was fighting for her life. But I realized ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ž ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐š๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐œ๐ก ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ž ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ž. Every victory was OUR victory. Iโ€™ll NEVER forget what she told me after earning 2nd at the 2025 Olympia: โ€œ๐๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ ๐›๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ง.โ€ She knew I felt like Iโ€™d failed, but reminded me Iโ€™d ALREADY won. No title could define the victory God had placed over my life. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ฏ So although she wonโ€™t physically be in the crowd WHEN I fulfill that promise, my mommy secured the BEST DAMN SEAT in the house. We may never understand Godโ€™s plan, but ๐ข๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐, ๐›๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ. I prayed so hard for her healing. And although it didnโ€™t come how Iโ€™d hoped, I find peace knowing sheโ€™s no longer suffering. Her body grew tired, but her spirit NEVER did. And if yโ€™all thought her hat-making legacy was ending, BABYYYY, youโ€™re SADLY mistaken! ๐Ÿ˜‚ My sister and I will make sure her presence is felt at EVERY future Derby. Bigger, better, and FABULOUS as ever! Every stage, every victory, every dream โ€ฆ youโ€™re right there with me. I love you forever, Mommy. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ And FUCK CANCER!
