Speaking with our correspondent @agirlfromharlem at an event he hosted last night, Pap said some of the greatest artists never get their shine because people in positions of power intentionally hold them back while pushing less talented artists as better. He added that the most skillful artists get hated on the most, and that it’s not about materialism. “Some people hate you because of your aura. They hate the effect you got when you walk in the room.” And if you want a feature, he says he has to hear and like your music first. “I don’t just take people money.”
