September - What could have been a burnout season was actually soul filling. Last month was so full I thought I wouldn’t survive it and at many times I felt I was failing on all fronts but looking back it was full of joy, balance and delight 🍃

✨20 weeks✨pregnant- halfway through and honestly just now coming to terms with the reality of growing a whole new soul 😅 I’ve been so busy I hardly had time to stop and think but I’m finally catching the baby vibe.

A lot of this month (or three) has felt like a constant juggle between work and motherhood, and work has been so full that I’ve often felt like I’m not doing enough with the kids. I miss them many days!

But looking back, we’ve had lots of sweet, present, connected moments. I got good one on one time with each of them. Zimri is a wild boy but so so sweet and has grown up a lot, and Kensa can give me a run for my money conversationally!

We started 🌱homeschool🌱although seeing as Kensa is just five we’re trying to keep it lighthearted. Of course I got three curriculums I wanted to combine, so more work for me not less 🙈

The flow has been….sporadically consistent? My goal has been two days of concentrated mom school time, three days of work focus for me. Most weeks it’s kinda worked!

On a good week, we’re cute and aesthetic- I’ve sourced our themed books, learned a new circle time song, got our activities planned out. This week did not look like that 😅

We did celebrate fall equinox and managed a family day of nature fun, complete with leaf crowns 👑

We’re adjusting to the rhythms of seasonal learning and living in the tropics, where seasons are more subtle. But im still teaching them the glory of the autumns I grew up with!

Campfires outside, homemade marshmallows, chapter books.

Kandreas has been dad extraordinaire. He’s hitting his stride with school and activities, and is so good at just rolling with the ups and downs of busy weeks and being flexible when I have time to step in with the boys, or when I have to suddenly hop on a call.

I also managed a good amount of play- I stopped telling myself I’m too busy and just started scheduling things. Indigo dye with the ladies, movie nights and din

The Bunny is back. Things are about to get loud as fuck. 🐰🎧

I know there’s a lot going on right now, but at some point we should address how many of our idioms involve hurting animals. Anyway, here are some photos of me in a top that doesn’t fit me right.
