Growing up in Santa Ana, I never knew which route my life would take me. Holding a set of hair clippers was my escape from the streets, but no matter how far I stayed away, I always heard the palatero man’s bell ring. Hustle, sweat, tears, and sacrifice is the thought I have when I hear that bell. What started as a haircut became more than just a smirk, but a smile. Thank you to Dr. Sofia Rodriguez for helping me bless Bartolo. Doesn’t matter how old or how small, a helpful hand could be someone’s only help.❤️
