On April 18, I had the honorable career milestone of presenting and speaking to the City Council on the Mayoral Proclamation signed by City of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, dedicated to a bill, Houston Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights (COBOR), that will improve nature accessibility for underrepresented and low-income communities and youth across the City of Houston.

I was also honored to have drafted the initial draft of the Mayoral Proclamation signed by Mayor Turner, where 80% of the initial draft was included in the final product—showcasing that the City of Houston is dedicated to including youth voices.

Presenting, speaking, drafting, and being the Lead Intern of this initiative's Mayoral Proclamation is a major milestone in my career in politics and law. I am happy that this proclamation will assist underrepresented communities like mine in receiving equity for youth, regardless of zip code, race, and income level. #fyp
