This was not the plan. @parker_burkett and I had just finished driving 12 hours to get to the Tetons for sunset. We had a mile long shot list for an auto production. But when the last ray of golden light faded behind the mountains, all we’d done was take a hundred photos of me standing, squatting, and sitting on the side of the highway. I wasn’t mad about it tho. ✨💛 Grand Tetons | Wyoming | Jackson Hole | Portrait Photography
WELL BLOODY ’ECK! This Yorkshire lass has only gone and bagged herself some Arts Council DYCP funding! 😭🩷 Honestly I’m still in shock and feeling incredibly grateful for this opportunity. It means I can invest in my practice, paint more, learn new skills, travel for projects and receive mentorship from the incredible @shauna.anseo 🙌🏼 The timing couldn’t be more perfect... Just as I was ready to throw in the towel, battling imposter syndrome, mum guilt and questioning whether I was good enough, this came along as a much needed reminder to keep going! ✨ Here’s to backing myself, pushing my practice and seeing where this takes me! Bloody buzzing! 💖🔥Thank you, Arts Council England! 🫶 @aceagrams Also a huge shout out to my partner Tom @northernmuralco for all of his support, guidance and putting up with my despair over the years 🤣💖

We’ve navigated hospital life for 8.5 weeks now. They’ve included some of the hardest weeks of our lives, but with every week that passes, the more positive they now feel 🙏🏼✨🙏🏼 This last week we’ve managed to get him outside to feel some fresh air and sunshine, and he’s also out of the critical care unit and on the transplant/rehab ward ♥️ The days and weeks continued to feel unsafe for such a long time, up until very recently even, and I can’t believe we’re now in October. I don’t think any of us could have imagined what the following 2 months would hold when we first arrived at the hospital ❤️‍🩹 @gusgold is the truest definition of a fighter and I truly believe that his internal spirit, alongside the collective love, prayer and energy surrounding him, protected him throughout this. It’s honestly quite astounding what his body has been through and the turnaround he’s since made. A double lung transplant. A 16 minute cardiac arrest. Substantial blood loss. ECMO life support for 3 weeks. Continual Dialysis and Ventilation for 6 weeks. A tracheostomy. Weeks of being in an induced coma and sedation. Sepsis - twice. An infection in his chest incision. 6 surgeries in 6 weeks. Multi-Organ dysfunction. I don’t really have the words, but… WTF x It’s been so much for us to see him go through and I can’t imagine what it must feel like for him to try and process all of this alongside trying to recover and make sense of everything. The focus is now on rehabilitation, rebuilding his strength and working towards getting him home. There’s a long road ahead and recovery is anything but linear but he’s truly getting there. What a miracle you are @gusgold - I’ll forever be so proud of how you navigate everything that comes your way. Your strength in every way is truly inspiring. Dreaming of being back home with you and our girls soon ♥️ Thank you all truly truly for your continued love and well wishes. he doesn’t quite have the capacity to engage and respond fully just yet but I know he is so so grateful for all of your messages and prayers x
