Art has been a long journey of self-discovery and defining what my feelings truly mean in my life. For me, there have been times when fashion and art have clashed, but I subsequently understood that these are two gifts that God has given me, so there is no reason for them to conflict in the first place. I started a journey where I had to express myself by painting what I felt, drawing whatever I'm feeling, and documenting the process. As a result, it became more about the process than the final product since the story is in the process, not the product itself.
I've merged two parallel pathways to work in one environment for the first time, and guess what? I feel just as alive as I felt when I made my first dress. I've just finished my first project and trial, and I'm really enjoying the help I've been getting in developing this into my brand story. I now feel like I've created something that truly expresses who I am, where I'm from, and what I stand for. a powerful, proud, black woman. As I introduce a piece of work that is close to my heart, please join me in post admiration.
