New Russian soldiers from the 15th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, 2nd Platoon, complain about being rushed into a combat mission with almost no training. They seem to collectively decide to “500” which is common soldier slang for desertion/refusing to fight. They claim they arrived on the 1st. The date of recording is the 4th. They say they were told they were going to training, then minutes later ordered onto a combat mission. Key lines (translated): • “We arrived on the 1st. Today is the 4th. They’re already sending us on a combat mission. To certain death.” • “This is lawlessness. No training at all. Nothing was explained. We’ve never even been to the range. Half of us have never held a rifle.” • “We literally arrived a couple of days ago and we’re already being sent on combat duty. We got weapons, but our gear is shit. Four magazines.” • “Everyone is 500-ing (deserting) Everyone agrees.” • “15th Regiment, Assault Brigade, 2nd Platoon.” • Call signs they give: Lyuber (grenadier), Amur (machine gunner), Kerry (machine gunner), Sahif (private), Tyapa (assistant machine gunner), Renchik (squad commander). • “We’re just in shock. We’re asking for help — sort this out, give us training.” • “We don’t want to just die for nothing. We want to defend the Motherland. But this way we’re just going to certain death.” • “They lined us all up and said we’re going to training. Then a couple of minutes later they said you’re going on a combat mission.”
Today was the most eventful day in College Football History. If you had a wedding to attend today, I’m so terribly sorry. WHAT IS BETTER THAN COLLEGE FOOTBALL?! Today was absolute madness from start to finish, with some of the biggest programs in the country going down on the same Saturday. No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 5 Indiana, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 Texas, No. 13 Missouri, No. 16 Mississippi State, and No. 18 Oklahoma State all suffered losses. This is the kind of chaos that makes college football the greatest sport in the world. Rankings were getting destroyed, playoff hopes were taking massive hits, and nobody was safe. The craziest part about college football is that absolutely nothing is guaranteed. You can enter a Saturday looking like a national championship favorite and leave wondering if your entire season is falling apart. Georgia losing to Auburn, Alabama falling to Tennessee, and Notre Dame getting taken down by BYU showed exactly why you can never overlook anybody. Every single week feels like a playoff game, and one bad performance can change everything. THIS IS WHY WE LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL. The upsets, the rivalries, the packed stadiums, the fans storming the field, and the absolute unpredictability make Saturdays special. You simply cannot script this kind of entertainment. Just when you think you have the entire season figured out, college football reminds everyone that anything can happen. There is genuinely nothing better than waking up on a Saturday knowing the entire college football world could be turned upside down by midnight. Sampai jumpa tahun depan. @explorelombok
