Good Sword! Concept by Kent2D

Made this during Uni assignments, for the game design society weekly model prompt! It’s probably my favourite swordtember concept by Kent2D, it’s so cute and I had lots of fun sculpting it!

The Oregonian reported that Maria Torres, then 71, filed a historic $36 million lawsuit against the Fred Meyer supermarket chain after a severe slip-and-fall incident on October 9, 2023, at the Hawthorne store in Southeast Portland. While shopping for groceries, Torres slipped on a puddle of water that had accumulated on the floor due to a leaky ceiling beneath the store’s above-ground parking deck. The fall resulted in a three-day hospitalization and a serious concussion, causing long-term health complications such as traumatic brain injury, chronic headaches, tinnitus, and balance issues that eventually forced her to leave her job and rely on a walker or wheelchair. Torres’s legal team sought $6 million in compensatory damages and $27.5 million in punitive damages, arguing that the supermarket chain had negligibly ignored a decades-old, recurring roof leak problem that routinely placed thousands of weekly shoppers at risk. In response, Fred Meyer denied liability by characterizing the leak as an emergent issue that developed too quickly for employees to clean up before the accident occurred, while also disputing the severity of Torres’s ongoing injuries. The case went to trial in Multnomah County Circuit Court in October 2026, but both parties reached an undisclosed, confidential settlement on the sixth day of the proceedings, concluding the litigation.
The Supreme Court on Saturday declared that the right to access and use the internet is a fundamental right under Articles 21 and 19(1)(a) of the Constitution, making it clear that children enjoy the same protection The bench made the observation while issuing directions to strengthen the mechanisms for detecting and removing child s*xual exploitation and abuse material (CSEAM) from social media platforms and other online services. A bench comprising Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice K Vinod Chandran observed that denying children access to the internet altogether would be as absurd as suggesting that they had no conscience worth protecting or freedom of speech worth expressing. It noted that the right to freedom of speech and expression under Article 19(1)(a) also includes the right to know and to receive and impart information and ideas. Describing the internet as a marketplace of ideas, creative expression and information, the Court said its value lay not merely in the information it contained but also in the access it gives to adults and children alike. “For many children, particularly in remote areas, it is often the only source of learning and information,” the Court observed. The Bench acknowledged that the internet, as it exists today, is far from safe for children. However, it held that keeping children away from the internet because of the failures of intermediaries to detect and remove harmful material would amount to mistaking the victim for the problem. The Court also clarified that its observations would not prevent the government from restricting children’s access to specific categories of content or services inherently harmful to them, including adult-content websites.
