Made Korean *non-spicy* chicken stew (dak bokkeumtang) for the whole family tonight - I think you + your kids will love this one too. 😉🍗 comment “RECIPE” to get this recipe sent to your DMs! KOREAN NON-SPICY CHICKEN STEW Serving size: 2 adults + 2 kids Ingredients: 2.5 - 3 lbs of chicken drumsticks 3 potatoes, halved 1 onion, halved 2 large carrots, cut into 1-2 inch pieces 3 scallions, cut into 1-2 inch pieces 3 tbsp of sugar 1 tsp of Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) 1/2 tbsp of Doenjang (Korean soybean paste) 2 tbsp of mirin 6 tbsp of soy sauce 4 tbsp of oyster sauce 1 tbsp of minced garlic 1 tsp of grated ginger a pinch of ground black pepper 1/2 cup of water 1 tbsp of sesame oil 1 tsp of sesame seeds Directions: 1. Mix all sauce ingredients in the instant pot insert (soy sauce, Gochujang, Doenjang, mirin, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and water.) 2. Add your chicken drumsticks and coat them evenly in the sauce. Let them sit and marinate while prepping your vegetables. 3. Add your vegetables and give them a quick toss in the sauce. Close the IP lid and pressure cook on HIGH for 20 minutes. 4. When done, manual / quick release. When the steam is done releasing, open and press the SAUTE button to thicken the sauce, about 10 minutes. 5. When the sauce is thickened, turn off the SAUTE mode. Top with scallions, sesame oil and sesame seeds and enjoy!

YUNG MAGAZINE FALL 2026. THE HUMAN ISSUE. “My role in life has completely changed from being a daughter to now I’m just me.” For Egyptian actress @taraemad , losing her mother changed everything. Her relationship with herself, her understanding of home, and the way she chooses to move through the world. Some things, though, remain untouched by time. The garden they once tended together. The Turkish coffee she still makes every Friday. The conversations she continues to have with someone who is no longer physically there. Behind a career spent playing different characters, Tara is learning to navigate a role no one could have prepared her for. And when asked what she protects most fiercely these days, her answer is simple. “My peace of mind.” For YUNG’s Human Issue, Tara Emad on love, loss, and the parts of ourselves we carry forward.
