Alfiz, mashrabiyya, palm trees and clear skies. I love walking through these parts of the city that speak of ancient splendour and tradition. Although the heat now makes itself felt and the summer season very often prevents long walks, this ancient palace now incorporated into the national museum is among the parts of the city I most appreciate. Now incorporated into modern Doha, with its colours and traditional architecture it slows down the time of an ever-expanding and growing city
