If Ashanti taught us anything, it's that you can be soft, booked, busy, unbothered, and STILL get everything your heart desires.

There's something special about watching an artist you grew up with continue to win, evolve, and find new reasons to smile. And we're here for all of it.

Happy Birthday to our forever R&B princess!

Anyways…it’s always been 1 SHELLA 💥 Dem a SELLA 💅 😂

Neon Moon Tropes:
🏙️ Back from the Big City
💫 Second Chance
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Meddling Family
🥇 First Love
🎭 Grumpy x Sunshine

If We Make It Through December Tropes:
🎄 Holiday Themed
💔 Right Person, Wrong Time
💫 Second Chance
🫂 Forced Proximity
❤️‍🔥 Divorced Couple Rekindling

Neon Moon & If We Make It Through December are now available on reademrae.com

Thank you so much @nookandfablemedia & @authorannieforrest for having me on this tour!

❓️QOTD: Based on the tropes or covers, which of these would you add to your TBR?

❗️AOTD: I'm a sucker for a holiday romance, so If We Make It Through December will be read before Neon Moon, but both are on my TBR.

The noodles were different, but this time her reaction was too.

Hannah ordered ramen at a new restaurant, expecting the curly noodles she’s familiar with. When it came out they were straight noodles that looked like spaghetti.

Not long ago that difference would have been enough for her not to eat it, but this time she acknowledged that it looked different, pointed out the differences, and worked through her discomfort to try it.

I can’t tell you how many times she’s ordered something familiar with every intention of eating it, only for an unexpected difference to make it feel wrong. A different noodle shape or a different color broth might seem insignificant to someone else, but for her it would mean going without the meal entirely.

This is why “I’m sure you can find something she can eat on the menu” isn’t always that simple with ARFID. Finding something familiar on the menu doesn’t mean it will arrive looking or feeling familiar to her.

It’s also why “she’ll eat when she’s hungry” is so frustrating to hear. We’ve watched her skip countless meals even when she was hungry because the food in front of her didn’t feel safe.

This time she noticed the differences, talked through what felt uncomfortable, and still gave it a try. Not every meal will look like this, but moments like these show how far she’s come and that’s what matters.
