U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach is challenging Americans to spend newly minted Trump $1 coins at their favorite "liberal coffee shops."

In a Treasury Department social media video, Beach encouraged Americans to pick up rolls of the coins at banks next month and use them to buy coffee.

The coins, commemorating America's 250th anniversary, are already on sale through the U.S. Mint, with rolls of 25 priced at $61 and bags of 100 at $154.50.

🦋✨ It is time to Witness One of California’s Most Magical Natural Events ✨🦋 FOLLOW @realworldmami for all California information
This is one of my favorite things to do as a family since the kids were little — and something you have to experience at least once in your life during the fall and winter! 🍂 Watching the Monarch butterfly migration is pure magic. Now, it’s one of my favorite natural events of the year.
Every season, thousands of Monarch butterflies travel to California’s coast, transforming eucalyptus groves into fluttering seas of orange and gold. It’s peaceful, breathtaking, and one of those moments that makes you stop and really appreciate nature’s quiet miracles. 🌿
🦋 Save this for all the details:
☀️ Weather: Go when it’s warm and sunny — that’s when the butterflies are most active!
🗓️ Peak season: November–December
(General season: October–January — sometimes even February)
📍 Northern California spots:
• Santa Cruz – Natural Bridges State Beach 🧡
• Santa Cruz – Lighthouse Field State Beach
• Monterey – Pacific Grove Monarch Sanctuary*
📍 Southern California spots:
• Pismo State Beach Monarch Grove* (over 10,000 butterflies some years!)
• Ventura – Point Mugu State Park
• Santa Barbara – Ellwood Mesa / Coronado Butterfly Reserve
📸 My videos were filmed at Santa Cruz’s Natural Bridges and Lighthouse Field. The grove at Natural Bridges feels like a fairytale — walk along the Monarch Trail boardwalk beside the Visitor Center, and the best time to see them in flight is late morning to early afternoon.
🚨 Don’t disturb the butterflies — just observe! Bring binoculars or use the telescopes available at some groves for a closer look.
Every year, these butterflies travel thousands of miles to escape the cold — and we’re lucky they choose our coast to rest. No matter where you go, seeing thousands of Monarchs swirl above you is an unforgettable California experience and a magical family adventure. 🧡
