I am Proud to say I am now an Official Graduate of 2023 with my GED 👩🏼🎓🥂‼️ Whewww childdd was this a rough journey for me mann ! Let me be the one to tell you, school was NEVER for me. I absolutely hateddd school. I never wanted to do anything, never wanted to go. I dropped out of High School so young worrying about the absolute wrong things. For a longgg time I had absolutely no motivation, no hope, no belief in myself. I was stuck but if i’m being honest I came to terms with how things ended up. I was sticking to the jobs I could get without having a diploma or GED. I wasn’t thinking about college or furthering my career because I had the mindset that these jobs will suffice. BUT with A LOT of help and support and knowledge from my family, friends and loved ones, one day I was alone with just me and my thoughts, thinking about my future and that’s when something just clicked in me. I wanted better for myself, I wanted MORE and I KNEW I could be doing more so I raised my expectations for myself and became eager to accomplish them! I took the steps I needed to take, put in the work and got the job done! and a HUGEEE shoutout to the “Pathways To Graduation Queens” Program 🗣️ none of this would be possible without every single staff that helped me throughout this process!! But trust me when I tell you i’m no where near finished though ‼️ For someone who neverrr thought i’d even get this far.. I am sooooo fucking proud of myself 🙌🏼 Not only did I graduate with my GED, I applied to 3 Cuny’s for this fall semester! YA GIRL GOING TO COLLEGE BABYYY 🥳 Next graduation post i’ll be graduating with my Degree, mark my words 🤞🏼👩🏼🎓🥂
