6 years ago a fluffy pregnant cat showed up at our back door. We took her in and had no idea she was pregnant till the two kittens were here, badly deformed. Neither made it. That same cat got pregnant again and 2 days before my birthday, gave birth to two dark tabby girls. And on my birthday, two days later, we were shocked to find a little orange boy in the nursery. I got to hold him the same day he was born. He looked like a burnt Twinkie, and that became is name. 6 years down the line he had been with me through everything. High school, suicide attempts, hospitalization, molestation, rape, numerous other pet losses, break ups, and losing my home and job. He means more to me than many people.
The day after our birthday, he didn't come home. If you're in the area please let me know if you've seen him.
He's more than a pet to me.
