Have you ever heard of the Blue People of the Sahara? They’re the Tuareg, a traditionally nomadic people of North and West Africa whose culture has lasted for centuries. @visualsbyponzio captured their beauty and traditions in Mali, from the striking tagelmust and handcrafted silver jewelry to the tehardent, a traditional lute that keeps their stories alive. The indigo dye of their veils rubs off on the skin, which is how they earned their famous nickname, “Blue People”. They also call themselves Kel Tamasheq ("Speakers of Tamasheq") or Imohag / Imorag, meaning "Free Men".

i mind the business that pays me 🫰🏻✨🪄
