Midweek reminder: Youโ€™ve got this. Practice a little kindness this week, and tag someone you love who could use some encouragement.
After my twins, I felt like I was fighting against my own body, trying to heal my diastasis recti (ab separation). Since then, Iโ€™ve gotten certified to teach this but these are still the things I wish Iโ€™d known sooner. I think they would have made my own healing smoother and faster. And if you want more help with your core comment ๐’๐”๐๐๐Ž๐‘๐“ and Iโ€™ll send you my FREE Core Breathing Series and my Diastasis Recti Core Guide! Both options help! Ok here we go: 1. ๐‡๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐œ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ง ๐ข๐ฌ๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐š๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐œ๐จ๐ซ๐ž You can flex or suck in all you want, but that often creates downward pressure on your pelvic floor, which can lead to leakingand back pain from overcompensation 2. You can lose a layer of fat and still have a belly pooch from diastasis recti. So first learn to breathe, then learn to brace, then increase the challenge, and be amazed! 3. Thereโ€™s no need to fear a sit-up. You may just not be ready to weave it back into your routine yet, but you can eventually! Real core progress comes from learning the base layer of core connection, then adding progressions to work back up to challenging moves. And donโ€™t just do what someone else with abs is doing. It might not be right for you. 4. It seemed woo-woo to me at first, but now I see it as a vital skill, not only for my core but for my nervous system and stress levels too. Breathing into your ribs, belly, and back naturally connects to the movement of your pelvic floor as it relaxes and contracts. This is literally the first s
Today is my birthday, and I feel like sharing something a little more personal with you ๐Ÿค When I think about what matters most to me, I keep coming back to the people I love. My children, my family, my friends. The people who care about me, make me laugh, and make me feel loved in the little everyday moments. Iโ€™m so grateful for the life we share. And thereโ€™s a part of me that is still dreaming, still hoping, still wondering how much more I have inside me to give. My wish for myself this year is to keep believing in that part of me. To give my dreams time and space, even when everyday life gets busy. To keep going when things feel uncertain, and to be brave enough to take the opportunities Iโ€™ve been hoping for. I want more music in my life. More time on stage, more songs to record, more people to create something beautiful with. I want to come home tired and happy after a rehearsal or a concert, knowing Iโ€™ve spent the day doing something I love so deeply. Your messages remind me why this matters. Some of you have told me that my voice helped you through a difficult time, brought you comfort, or made you feel less alone. I never quite know how to explain what it feels like to read that. Iโ€™m singing from my own heart, sometimes without knowing who will hear it, and somehow it finds its way into someone elseโ€™s life. Please know that I try to read every message and reply whenever I can. Your words stay with me, even when I donโ€™t find the time or the right words to answer ๐Ÿค If youโ€™d like to give me something for my birthday, it would mean so much if you shared your favourite video of me singing. Send it to someone you love, or share it in your stories with a few words about what it means to you. And if you havenโ€™t already, you can subscribe to my YouTube channel and follow me on Spotify and Instagram. Youโ€™d be helping something very close to my heart reach a little further. Thank you for being here, for listening, and for caring. I have so much more I want to sing for you ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ“ท by @lolagreen.videographer #nataliasarsgard #birthdaywishes #mymusicaljourney #keepdreaming #singerlife
