Hello! Here’s a speedy round up of 5 projects I’d definitely do again and key things to know if you want to try! 💁🏻‍♀️ 1. Pimped up PAX wardrobes. Just add beading, prime and paint with eggshell paint then seal with varnish to prevent the paint chipping 2. Hide ugly pipes, fuse boxes etc by adding wood batons to the wall, then paint, panel or wallpaper a piece of plywood, add self-adhesive magnets to the batons and the board and you’re done! 3. Create a decorative shower screen using strips of MDF (it sits in front of the glass shower screen so doesn’t get wet). We got the strips cut to size and then made a frame, drilled holes in the top and bottom ends of the strips and frame and fixed together using wood dowels. (We also used magnets to secure it to our glass shower screen). 4. Use a stencil to create a feature and then add beading to the wall to frame it to make it look like a headboard. (The stencilling was messier and took longer than I expected but that might just be me!). Stencil - Dizzy Duck Design 5. Shoe storage bench. (There’s a recent, longer reel of this one on my page). Make sure you prime before you paint and don’t paint the inside if you’re using boxes to store shoes in as the paint won’t withstand daily use! Have a lovely rest of the weekend ☀️, Becks x #diyhacks #ikeahack #decorinspiration
THIS IS AN ALL-TIMER 😱😱 (via @nfl)
Amid heightened security arrangements and widespread concerns over restrictions in the national capital, Delhi Police has sought to reassure residents that normal life continues across most parts of the city despite the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) planned protest on October 10. Delhi Traffic Police has also shared geo-tagged visuals from the ground to provide updates on traffic movement and conditions across the capital. The updates come amid claims that shops, malls, metro services and other public facilities are functioning normally in several areas. The restrictions have largely focused on sensitive locations in and around New Delhi, particularly Jantar Mantar, where CJP had called for a demonstration demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. However, the reference to a 4-km area relates specifically to the radius of the notified mobile internet suspension around the Janpath-Kartavya Path crossing. It does not mean that traffic restrictions or other security measures are limited to that area. According to Delhi Traffic Police’s official advisory, movement could be affected at around 30 locations, with diversions introduced depending on the prevailing law-and-order situation. These include stretches around Connaught Place, Mandi House, Dhaula Kuan and other major junctions. Metro services have also faced restrictions, with entry and exit gates at 45 stations initially scheduled to remain closed until 6 PM on Saturday. Interchange facilities were to remain available at most affected stations.
